I always have an excellent meal at Chipotle. The experience is perfect for breaking up the work day! I often times find myself trying to find an offer in today's society including both wholesome nutritious food. Now that the food here have GMO-free ingredients, I am all in, especially at a cost-effective price. The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are pleasant (even though they already know what I will order) and helpful. If you are looking for "fast food" that is not made of plastic, I would heartily recommend! I intend to be an avid Chipotle consumer for many years to come.

I mean cmon its Chipotle! One thing I like about this location is how friendly they always are, even when I get a compulsion to want a burrito bowl at 9:30 PM and they are still smiling and attentive when I come in at 9:45 PM to satisfy my craving. Ingredients are always fresh and temperatures on the food always always accurate. Consistently clean as well! What I would expect from this chain.

If anyone wanted to bribe me, most likely Chiptole would help them accomplish this goal. In Undergrad in Illinois, I learned to love Chiptole and all of its wrapped up glory upon first bite. Since then, Chipotle is like a member of the family, one, that I hate not seeing often and when I do, we have to make it up to each other. I always order the Steak Fajita Burrito, white rice, no beans, mild and hot salsa, light corn, lettuce, cheese and sour cream, with chips and guacamole and a IZZE sparkling Clementine drink.

There's something about fresh assembly line food. I like having variety when it comes to ingredients. Here you can load it up! I ordered the chicken soft tacos. It comes with three tacos, which in my opinion is a good value for the price. You follow your tacos down the assembly line and dress them how you choose. The combination of meat and toppings makes for a wonderful meal. The workers are super friendly and fast! Definitely the best in this category

Honestly what can I say chipotle is always a solid choice when looking for a meal that will fill you up. Since I am an LSU student the convenience of this location couldn't be any better. As far as the food goes it is just like any other chipotle so you know it will be of a high quality. My only semi complaint is that it seems like they kinda cut you short on the meat compared to other locations I've been too. Customer service here is impressive as well. The time that I have been here I have greeted as so as I step up to order and it doesn't stop there. Every employee I have dealt with has been super friendly. I think it's the little things like being friendly and asking how peoples days are things that really make a business stand out in my eyes. The parking situation is so so because it does share spots with the other food places in the area. If you can walk I would recommend doing that. All in all I am very pleased with this chipotle location and I would definitely recommend to my friends and family! Go chipotle :)

Since living in Houston, I've been a huge fan of Chipotle...so much so that I wrote them a letter begging for a Louisiana presence...they told me no! 7 years later I got what I wanted...in your face, Chipotle! Seriously though...this is a very good luch spot unfortunately there is NO parking. I almost think they only want LSU students to eat here. I could eat a delicious burrito bowl with that crack cocaine rice everyday! The ingredients are fresh and the portions are probably enough for two meals...if you can restrain yourself.

Chipotle will always be one of my favorite restaurants, and this location is no different from any other I have been to. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is good and clean. The workers are friendly. Go with a Burrito Bowl, you can't go wrong.

The food is really good. I had chicken taco and steak taco. I definitely recommend the chicken. It was tender and flavorful. The steak was dry and seemed over cooked. You get to pick your own toppings like at Izzo's but I think the quality of ingredients and flavor are better here. When we first got there we weren't acknowledged or greeted and the girl at the counter summarily repeatedly ignored us until her coworker made her address us. Sorry to interrupt you at work friend but your job is to make my taco. Other than that I recommend the restaurant. The other employees weren't out right rude but they definitely need to work on just being friendly. The inside is nice and new and clean. I call it chic industrial look. I would definitely go back. Great low carb and vegetarian options too!

Great inexpensive and reasonably healthy fast food. I get the salad and skip the tortilla. You can choose either brown or white rice and black or pinto beans. The meat options are chicken, carnitas, or steak. I've had all three and all are good. I go for the mild salsa which is more like pico and always tastes fresh with a bit of spice. You can also add cheese, sour cream, or guacamole. Overall, I think the flavors are better than Izzo's. I prefer chipotle over Izzo's even though Izzo's has more toppings. Chipotle is simpler and everything just seems to taste better. Prices are great too with the burritos/bowls/salads running about $7.

I have always been a fan of Chipotle, since I lived in Los Angeles! I was thrilled when they came to Baton Rouge because I was starting to find Izzos a little too pricey for not much food. I adore the concept of build your own burrito! During my last visit, I ordered the steak burrito and they filled it with so much of the good stuff that the tortilla broke and they had to use another one! Now, that's a burrito! The flavors were fresh and spiced just right! Me, my husband & 4-year old daughter were all able to share the burrito in addition to a steak salad. Even though this is a franchise, they never fail to deliver! Love me some Chipotle!!

Watched the girl struggle to wrap my burrito that I didn't even want. They don't even have jalapeños. How the hell do you open up a burrito restaurant and not have jalapeños as an option for something I can put into it. I'll stick to Izzo's.

Good, fast food near the North Gate of LSU. Made to order tacos, burritos, bowls with either chicken, pork, of beef. Same as any Chipotle anywhere across the USA. Spacious seating inside and additional seating outside. It can get crowded when school is in session. Only complaint is the music is too loud - requires you to shout at your friends during lunch.

When it comes to fast food Chipotle has always been the cream of the crop, especially for vegetarians. Many of the Chipotle's in Manhattan have lines around the block, despite being surrounded by great NYC eateries. The blessing and curse of chains is that the food is the same everywhere, so you get the same burrito in BR that you do in Manhattan but without waiting for 45 minutes. This is the best vegetarian option I've found close to LSU, if I'm grabbing lunch I'm either going here or that Mediterranean place in the old pizza hut. I'm sort of surprised to see all of the complaints about service. Generally in a fast food restaurant I assume everyone is paid a low enough wage that they should probably be spitting on me for asking them to do anything. When they don't I'm always enthused. This place is quite the opposite; however, everyone always has the corporate smile on there face and I've apparently become enough of a regular that some of them remember who I am. This place really only has two downsides: 1. It's a chain, so while the food will always be the same and generically appealing it will never be exciting or great. 2. Baton Rouge

The service was bad, and the food wasn't much better. The staff just seemed super stressed out and inexperienced, and the food was incredibly bland, despite adding the spicy salsa. Chipotle will not be my first choice when I'm craving Mexican and am near campus.

My favorite place to go out for eating in Baton Rouge and I have been there for at least 10 times. The food is good and focus on nutrition balance. The only problem is that the stuff don't give me enough rice every time unless I ask them to do.

I love Chipotle every where else but this location is far from the best. The staff is rude and very short. You practically have to beg them to give you reasonable portions. Every single table was dirty on my last visit on top of everything else. I've tried to like this place but won't be going back. I'll go to Chipotle in another city.

So good. Way better than izzos or Qdobas. I don't really care for the employees but they aren't rude, they just aren't friendly.

I have been eating at Chipotle for many years, and I have always enjoyed it. They have a limited menu, but it is not necessarily a negative, many restaurants are successful with limited menus. I love getting the chicken burrito with the white rice, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and the hot salsa. The burritos are delicious and filling. The prices are reasonable, and the set-up is excellent for lunch. Each burrito is customized as it is ordered, and is made quickly in front of you. I wouldn't really suggest it for dinner, as the vibe is really casual. The only really negative I can say is that the tables are often not the cleanest. Having worked in food service before, I know what a drag cleaning the tables can be. However, when the restaurant is not even half full, it is not difficult to keep a dining area presentable. Overall, I would suggest spending at least a few lunch breaks enjoying the simple fare.

In addition to being good eats, Chipotle is a taste of home for me -- Seattle, not Mexico. It had been over three years since I last ate at a Chipotle, so I made the made the 160-mile round trip to Baton Rouge last night. Was it worth it? Of course--it's Chipotle! Would I do it every week, uhm, no. (Five Guys is opening today next door to Chipotle, so a weekend trip is definitely in my future.) Parking is scarce. The restaurant, at LSU, is quite spacious. The line was long, but moved along quickly. Not much has changed in three years except that the prices have gone up. That's a bummer, but it's a given. They do the humongoloid burritos, but my recommendation is the barbacoa (think zingy brisket type meat) soft tacos. After meat, you choose what you want on it -- all the typical taco toppings, including whole black beans, whole pinto beans and two or three types of salsa. The pico de gallo is nearly perfect -- fresh, brightly colored, ripe tomatoes, with a little heat, but not overwhelming. A little more cilantro and it would be perfect. The guacamole was off to me -- the avocados were a little too ripe, it was a little too mashed, and was missing enough of typical guac ingredients that it tasted just like mashed avocado. However, I know what they are capable of in the guac department, so I absolutely would order it again on my next visit. Some will like it better than it's main competitor here (Izzo's) and some will like Izzo's better. Regardless, for fresh, quick and tasty Mexican, you can't really go wrong here.

It's chipotle--you can't beat it. 3 stars because sometimes they like to jip you on your portions. Overall, Chipotle is better than Izzo's, fuzzy's, zippy's, etc. Simply the best burrito in any state, in any city.

The food is great, some of the best carnitas and guac I've ever had. The two stars is for the parking situation. Eight Chipotle customers, including myself, got towed during lunch there today. They need to buy into that adjacent lot or something. A word of warning: don't park in the adjacent lot, with the Buffalo Wild Wings and CVS; the towing company has spotters that call a truck as soon as you cross the street. Loved everything else about, just getting it 'to go' next time.

As the first Chipotle in Louisiana, I think this restaurant needs to be given a lot of credit. It's been literally thrown into the gator pond that is a town dominated by Izzo's. And before you bash me for my review, I will say that I have tried Izzo's several times and Chipotle is simply better. Here's why: Chipotle prides itself on freshness and natural ingredients. You can tell this right off the bat when looking at the buffet of ingredients that will soon be in your burrito, tacos, etc. The food at Chipotle just looks fresher. I hate to say it, but Izzo's and Qdoba's buffet kind of looks like slop. Not to mention Chipotle is much cleaner, so you're not looking at spilled food from yester-year all over the trays. But not only does the food look fresher, it also tastes fresher. Heck, their meat is so fresh that they don't even have freezers. They get fresh meat in every day. None of it has been frozen and you can immediately tell the difference. Now, this isn't to say this Chipotle hasn't worked out some of the kinks. The staff can be hit or miss. One manager (a very tall, dark-haired guy) runs a tight ship and you can tell. If he's not there, the staff runs very differently. Last time I had a very snotty lady at the register who needs to learn not to yank things like cash and credit cards out of customer's hands. To address concerns that they jip you on portions...well they do. Unless you ask. Right, it shouldn't be that way. I agree. They will give you adequate nutrition servings, but if you like more food, just ask. You can pile on the rice, veggies, salsa, sour cream, etc without any extra cost. The only thing they charge extra for is guac and meat. So seriously, just ask for more of the free-of-extra-charge stuff and you'll go home happy. If you get a bowl you can pile it on and split the bowl with a friend ($3.75/person is a damn good deal). The second issue I have is parking. If you go during a busy time, you're screwed. All they have is that dinky lot in the back they share with Five Guys and Subway. If you park across the street, you're setting yourself up for misery and woe with Riverside Towing. There have been times where I've had to leave, burritoless because of a lack of parking. I suppose it's not their fault, but it's still something to consider. Worst case, scenario, use their ordering app, park in the to-go spots, and run in.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
